| Show MANY ATTEND DUCK CREEK celebration hundreds of people attended tile tho celebration at duck crook recreation grounds pioneer day the entertainment was under tile the auspices of the kanab stake officials who tor for several years now havo sponsored an all excursion to duck crook creek july 24 edward T lamb of 0 mt aft carniol carnial as marshall marshal of tho the day took charge of a very splendid program which began at 1030 a m atter after the pr program the people spent two and a halt half hours at luncheon and visiting with friends and acquaintances 1 A luncheon was served to 23 pioneers of kane county by a cial committee appointed by the daughters of the utah pioneers after which tho the pioneers entertained by recounting experiences j of early days reciting poems and singing pioneer songs nearly every part of which was encored robert park acted as master of core i monies those who took part were wem thos greenhalgh Z K judd lizzle lizzie cram allen hoyt lizzle lizzie greenhalgh malinda P roundy after luncheon races for the children and other sports were in bulged in I 1 the boys scouts under the direction of woodruff rust held a court of honor and part in other scout about activities and sports aporta at 6 p m a dance was held at the 0 0 C camp mesi mesa hall ball at which the boys of camp F P 16 took an active part the music tor for the dance being furnished by tile the boys lu III the camp tile the 0 C C boys also were prominent in ili the entire days pr program the recreation ground Is very much improved since last year camp stoves and tables have been installed and a small platform has been built the people of southern utah now have a beautiful recreation ground established where they can call hold outings picnics lodge celebrations and in fact it can call bo be used for any recreational purpose |
