Show ROTARY all ml filid CLUB HOLDS ELECTION last evening the rotary club held Us its monthly business meeting in the commercial club rooms moving the date ahead irom from friday next on account of the general conference at salt lake and elected officers for tile the ensuing year before the election took place reports were made the most important being that ol of the treasurer which was tendered rendered by wm win J lowe the report showed that the club had expended considerable money for various purposes during the year and had bar assisted materially in a community way in paying tor for things which affect tho the community generally the report was adopted tho the candidates tor for president were john W peters E IV dunn and 3 C knudson and there were thirty one club members present mr peters received a majority vote and was elected president for vice president wm win E davis was pitted against N C simonsen Sl and am mr davis received a majority vote on the first ballot IV V call and dr it T willey were elected secretary and treasurer respectively by a unanimous vote as there were no other candidates four candidates had been named tor for the two places on the board ot of directors wm win J lowe victor E madsen wynn L eddy and dr R A pearse and Aless rs lowe and madsen received the highest vote which was alao a majority vote ot of those present and were declared elected the board ot of directors Is made up of tile the former president and secretary and the newly elected officers who will bo be officially installed at tho the regular weekly luncheon on friday ot of next week the rotary club membership has grown from fifteen to thirty tour four during tho the first year ot of its life the rules of the organization prescribe that eniy one member of a given profession bession can become become affiliated with the club so that the thirty tour four men who make up the organization represent just that many classifications in this community |
