Show KENNEDY NAMED AS sunday is evidently a poor time to discuss baseball matters as little was accomplished at the meeting held in the club rooms yesterday afternoon all clubs in the northern utah baseball league were represented but were unable to agree on president and secretary so a coin coin was flipped to deter detera mine whether a logan man or an ogden man landed the position of president the coin said ogden wins and therefore somebody in cache valley will be the secretary which places the two as far apart as they can get but it is to be hoped that they can at least a arce agree when they do meet all this is occasioned because attorney W V E davis of this city refused to accept the position of president of the league when handed to him on a silver platter he simply would not accept the honor bonor and logan and smithfield would not vote for a brigham city in man an unless guaranteed the secretary brigham then nominated an ogden man for president deni and after hours of argument the coin determined which side got the president just who president kennedy will appoint for secretary is not known at this time in all probability it will not be ray olsen who served in that capacity last year although he is the best qualified man in cache valley for the position at the ogden meeting the bylaws by laws were read section byi by section and nearly all of them were accepted after corrections cerii were made it was agreed althis meeting that aati acting ng secretary asen olsen prepare and have ready at least four copies of these bylaws bylaw by laws law and a copy of the minutes for the brigham meeting sunday when final action was to be taken before the meeting was over yesterday or the election of a president mr olsen left the building and did not return taking with him all the papers he was supposed to have in his possession the hysham representatives who attended the ogden meeting were divided as to what actually took place at the meeting in ogden the logan and smithfield representatives here sunday were not at the session held in ogden and therefore did not know what happened there and all had a different understanding on the question of salary limit senator J W peters presided and not being present at any of the previous meetings had bad difficulty trying to please ern em all the next meeting is subject to the call of the new president |
