Show AGED PIONEER IS CALLED john IV imlay known as uncle john imlay passed away at ills his home homa here wednesday morning ot of general debility angold and old ago ile he was born november 21 1849 in new jersey ile he was the son eon of james jamesly sll H and elizabeth ann imlay they came to utah about 1854 they lived in salt lake city tor for awhile later moving to davis county from there they moved to now new harmony where he met and married margaret elizabeth paco pace in 1871 six children were born to this union james W luetta annie M john W jr vinnie and rena their mother died September 18 1889 john luetta and rena have also proceeded him in death in 1904 he be married mrs airs mary slade and they have five children frank doe dee ashley and necla all of panguitch Pan gultch and mrs airs lizzle lizzie baugh of tropic ile he Is also survived by two sisters mrs airs elizabeth prince of 0 now harmony and mrs afro sarah evans ot of gridley gradley california during buring the early days ot of panguitch Pan gultch mr imlay was active in civic affairs attal rs having been selected as a charter member ot of the first city council in panguitch Pan gultch when the town was first incorporated a position he held tor for several years ile he also served on various water boards during ills hla life ile he followed the occupation of farming up to a few years ago mr imlay had the reputation among his friends and neighbors of being a staunch citizen and was generous to a fault |
