carios Sede rholin mr vance mr wilford freeman and mr shirley C horsley the eastern star members of this city entertained last evening at the masonic lodge in honor of mrs 11 C da day who has acted as worthy matron ot of the corinne order of the eastern star during the past year mrs day was presented with the matrons matrona pin as a sign of the appreciation and esteem of the star members by mr wynn L eddy who made the presentation address all members of eastern star arid and also masonic lodge residing in brigham were pre present ent atter after these ceremonies the remainder of the evening camp seven from the sego lily camp one from the deseret camp eleven from the pee bee hive camp four from the willow creek camp arid and two from the mount hope camp two pioneers were also present mrs P hayward president of the state central camp of salt lake city then addressed the meeting mrs hayward has been the president ot of this organization tor for three years and has also been one of our women re presenta tives lives in the utah state legislature tor for the last five years having ape spent ait three years in the house of representatives and two years in the state senate mrs hayward told the ladies of the work being done by the central camp at salt lake city in preserving the history ot of our pioneers and also the need ot of funds for carrying on the organization mrs flora US 11 horne home custodian of relics arid and historian for or the pioneers and also a member ot of the central camp was the next speaker she told of the interesting collections of 0 relics already gathered
