| Show younger generation no longer inclined to bow blindly to authority by CLARENCE C LITTLE university of michigan in as the younger a generation refuses to bow blindly to authority they are in a sense living spiritual lives of their own they are not godless I 1 think they are nearer the truth about religion than we are churches persist in righting fighting 0 over a dry bone and youth recognizes this they realize that christ did not spend his time on earth criticizing the prophets who had gone before him but in doing things and in meeting problems of ills his day there is a hidden paradox in our efforts to keep hopeless invalids alive as long as possible on beds of terror and all the time we are supposed to believe in an eternal life of bliss after affer death marriage arriage il is supposed to be a blessed institution and our conven eions tend to make if it an unbreakable contract ild but often physical death seems the only means of escape for both con contracting fr acting parties who suffer er mental and spiritual death daily |
