Show . Nineteenth Century Club. , A very pleasant and instructive afternoon after-noon was spent by the members of the-Nineteenth the-Nineteenth C. ntury club at the home of th? president, Mre. E. A.Wedgwood. After the reading of tin minutes of the last meeting, Miss Florence Pember'on read an excellent paper on "Gothic Art Dd Architecture," giving a good description de-scription of the Gothic art in the fourteenth four-teenth and fifteenth centuries. After a recess of ten minutes each member present responded to her name with 'a quotation ; some time was then taken up with the business of the club. Miss Thompson read a splendid paper on "The Age of Louis XIV." M 83 Brinkerhcff reviewed the domestic news of the Week. The talk on parliamentary parliamen-tary rules hy Mrs. Coray was listened to with much interest. After the critic'i report the club adjourned. ad-journed. The members present were: Mes-dames Mes-dames Wedgwood, Reed, Coray, Bon-ham, Bon-ham, Monahan, Rose, Bartow, and the Mises Brown, Thompson, Josephine and Alice Kellogg, Pemberton, Brin-kerhoff, Brin-kerhoff, J3nnie and Jrankie French, and Moore. |
