Show SCHOOL BOARD. The Employment of Teachers Teach-ers for Next Year TO BE DECIDED TONIGHT. The Matter of Establishing a City High School Will Also ba Considered at tha Session, to ba Held Thia Evening Business Busi-ness Transacted at Lat Evening-'s Session. The board of education met last evening, it meets again this (Wednesday) (Wednes-day) evening. Ac the session of last night the following fol-lowing business was transacted: Ten petitions for positions next year as teachers in the city schools were received. re-ceived. All of the " teachers of last year, except J. W. Bjcth, have now applied, besides several other persons. The superintendent's statistical rt-pcrt rt-pcrt of attendance at the last or third term was received and filed. The treasurer's report for April was received, audited, found correct and olaced on file It shows as foilows ? The board resolved itself into committee com-mittee of the whole and considered the applications for positions as teachers. No definite action was taken as tj engagement. en-gagement.
