The convention- received re-ceived an invitation to attend a receD- tion to be given to the delegates and their ladies at the Temoleton on Thursday Thurs-day evening. The invitation stated that the reception would be given by the womn of Salt L-tke city, but it contained no signature, and the convention con-vention laid it on the table, fearing that it was hoax. It is understood that the cjmmunication was sent by Mrs. Emmeline B Wells, in behalf of the woman suffrage Indies of Salt Lake, and Secretary Christensen accordingly j sent Mrs. Wells a letter last evening, as kin 2 her to assure the convention that the invitation is a genuine one. |
