Show DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY MEETINGS Held and Delegates Elected in the First, Second and Third Wards No Meeting in the Fourth and Fifth. Meetings of tha democratic societies were held last evening in the First, Second and Third wards. In the Fourth and Fifth wards no arrangements arrange-ments had been made for the use of the Parker schoolhouse and the building build-ing was locked and all in darkness when the people gathered there. The crowd was not large and none of the oScers of either society were present, so no meeting was called for either ward. In the First ward a good meeting was held in the Webster schoolhouse. James E. Daniels, president of the society, so-ciety, presided. 0. H. Berg was elected secretary. The following ladies and gentlemen were elected delegates to the convention of democratic societies to be held in Salt Lake city on Saturday Satur-day next: Deleeates Mrs. S. A. King, Mrs. Marilla Daniels, Mrs. Caroline Daniels, Col. J. L. Bartow, T. E. Thurman, Jame E. Daniels, William Strong, O. H. Berg, Roger Farrer, Major W. H. Berry. Alternates Mrs. Deborah Billings, Mrs. O. H. Berg, Thomas Uetsley, JosepU Strong, David Giles. SECOND WAED. A meeting of the democratic society of the Second ward was held at the courty courthouse last evening at 8 o'clock. Chairman James Gray called the meeting to order and read the notice. The purpo6e of tbe meeting was to elect ten delegates to attend the territorial convention of democratic demo-cratic societies, to be held in Salt Lake ' city, Saturday July 13th. The following named persons were elected : Delegates Alexander Wilkins. S. P. Ezger tsed jr., Mrs. Helen Alexander, Wm, H. King, W. D. Roberts, D. D. Houtz, Mrs. Julius Hannberg, E. A. Wdgwood, Mrs. J. M. Roberts and Mrs. A. E. Dusenberry. Alternates F. F. Reed, Mrs. G. W. Craig, Graham Daly. Thomas Leonaid, Mrs. Lillian De Loery, and Miss Clara Dusenberry. THIKD WARD. The following delegates were elected at the meeting held in the Third, ward: Delegates Mrs. Louise Newell, Mrs. John A. Warner, Mrs. Francis Clark. Mrs. H. J. Maiben, Miss May Brown, E C.
