Show impressive SERVICES FOR PIONEER PIONE EIt j beautiful and impressive funeral services were held in the tabernacle yesterday I 1 afternoon over the body of the late patriarch william horsley II pioneer merchant and resident of this city the entire table along the lower stand was covered by the beautiful beautiful floral designs and sprays which spoke silent silently libut but eloquently of the esteem in which mr air II and the family are held the attendance completely filled the auditorium of the tabernacle and part of the gallery and a peaceful spirit pervaded tile the services which extended over two full hours time bishop george W watkins presided and was ther the first speaker the other speakers in their order were R L fishburn patriarch E P cordon bishop N W crookston Croo katon of logan pres S norman lee L peter joh johnson bp T 11 II B blackburn lack 1 urn and john 1 D peters peter each paid tribute to the splendid ot at tributes trl possessed by patriarch horsley hereley and the glorious rious monument he has left in ili the splendid family which survives much early church history as well as early history of 0 this community was recited and the speakers bore powerful testimony to the truthfulness of the gospel the musical program rendered by the choir included the hymns come come ye saints and home sweet home As a second number in ili the opening exercises S N lee s sang ang the selection entitled tile the beautiful city and between speakers wm R dredge sang a solo entitled my faith in thee and the madsen sisters sang the hymn who are these arrayed in white the prayers were offered by patriarchs james olsen and adolph madsen A long cortege accompanied ed the remains to the cemetery and a great many relatives and friends from at all 11 parts arts of the state came to participate in the services and render a final tribute to the memory of the worthy man who had gone before |
