Show Regular routine business was trans acted by the city council, report of which is omitted today, the epace be-in? be-in? devoted to other matters. The discussion dis-cussion over the matter of levying tax held the council in session until after 11 o'clock wnen adjournment was had with unfinished business still upon the clerk's table. The trouble at Clear Creek, which resulted in sending yesterday a telegram tel-egram to Sheriff Brown asking nim to come up, was a row between an Italian Ital-ian and white man. Brakeman Ward rushed in to separate the two and got a cut in the left thigh from a knife in the hands of the Italian. The Italian was not arrested and has fled. Ward was not hurt seriously, although hie wound will lay him up for a week or so. He went on to the hospital at Salt Lake on R. G. W. No. 1. The merchants and clerks are crossing cross-ing bats on the baseball diamond this afternoon at the west square. |
