Show Attention Democrats! Notice is hereby given to the democrats demo-crats of Utah county that a state convention con-vention will be held at Oi?den on the 5th day of September, 1895. commencing commenc-ing at 11 o'clock a. m., for the purpose pur-pose of nominating a candidate for representative to the Fifty-fourth congress, and candidates lorthe tohow-ing tohow-ing state offices, to wit: Governor. Secretary of state. State auditor. State treasurer. Attorney general. Superintended of public instruction. Three judges of the Eupreme court. Also, the election of a democratic state committee, and the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the convention. Utah county will be entitled to eighty-eight delegates in that convention. It was deemed advisable bv your committee not to hold a county convention for the purpose of electing these delegate3,but to elect them in the primaries of the various precincts. It is earnestly requested re-quested that the precinct chairmen make the necessary arrangements for thrse primaries and that the demo-oats demo-oats of this county will give this matter mat-ter their personal attention and see that full delegations are present at the state convention from every precinct. It is suggested that the democrats In their primaries and by their delegates in the state convention, consider the propriety or indicating tueir preier-ence preier-ence of persons to be selected by the I legislature as United States senators from the state of Utah.
