Show Yesterday. January 2d, was Grandma Grand-ma Eggertsen's sixty-ninth birthday. It was a beautiful winter's day, the snow falling fast all day. At about 2 o'clock when the snow seemed to be falliDg fastest 12 little children were tugging through the snow toward their grandma's home. They found her in the kitchen very much surprised, A great happiness came over her to see their bright faces full of love for her. They all had a good time, but still felt the loss of Alfred Cluff, Mrs. Eggertsen's Eggert-sen's eldest grand-child, who, although be was not present, was not forgotten. They brought baskets of picnic and some small presents. Also a beautiful hymn book. They sang songs and spoke pieces and all made expressions wishing grandma many happy returns of the day, and wishing to live to be an honor to their grand-parents. To see the grand-parents sitting at the table was a most beautiful sight. |
