Show Saturday's Legislative Proceeding's. The council held its session last Saturday Sat-urday morning, in order that the members" mem-bers" from the outside might return home for Sunday. The substitute for the bill relating to the mayor's veto was discussed, and made the special order for Tuesday . The bill relating to life, accident and casualty insurance corporations passed by a unanimous vote. In the house there was no spirited debate, though there was some ' disputation dispu-tation on the claim of L. G. Hardy and on the bill for the employment of stenographers by the justices of the supreme court. JThe bill to allow landlords land-lords to summarily eject tenants delinquent de-linquent -in their rents was paseed. Several bills, among them one to regu-j regu-j late the practice of dentistry, one to create an iirijration commission, one to prohibit the granting of licenses to eabon keepers within a mile of any in corporated city, and one to prohibit policemen from acting in other capacities, capa-cities, were presented. |
