Show Notes From Ann Arbor. One glorious truth exists here, and that is "brotherly love." When one of our number makes a very successful recitation, performance in public, or successful examination, none are too small to shake him by the hand and express pleasure on hearing of same. Jealousy is and unknown quantity with the Utah crowd. Each glories in the success of the other. We are much pleased to read and hear of the success our last year stud- j ents, now graduates of the U. of M., are having. The graduates this year will be Mr Jos. E. Page, J. F. McGregor, Mc-Gregor, J. Z. Stewart, Jr., II . S. Harris N. J. Harris, Joa. A. Harris, Mr. McDonald Mc-Donald and Mr. Halverson of the law department. J. J. McClellan, Jr oi the musical department. While coming home from a concert given by the great Russian Pianist, De Pachmann, last Tuesday evening, we were startled by hearing the tire department rushing up North University avenue. A fire had started near the cloak room in the monster library, but had been put out before the department could turn on water, which was very lucky. The Dispatch is always a welcome messenger In our midst. It is one of the best semi-weekly and daily papers in the west. The daily is superior to the best daily in Ann Arbor, a city of nearly triple the number of inhabitants of Provo. Especially are the local columns of Thk Dispatch interesting and well written. As usual the students from Utah's lovely domain are busy, aud I am safe to chronicle that all are doing good work. To step in the grand U. of M. library, at almost any time, one imag-inshe imag-inshe is in a Utah town so many of students and friends are there reading, and each knowing the other has a kind word and cordial smile at all times. AnnArbok, Mich., Feb. 2. Correspondent Cor-respondent Dispatch Today we are experiencing the chilliest weather of the winter thus far, aud but a little snow being left on the ground. If ii were not for Michigan's cold winds we would not notice the cold so much. She is surely a windy thing. Jodie Horne, of Richfield, and a student of the agricultural college at Lancing.Michigan, returns to school on the 15th. Mr. Home spent his winter vacation here, taking special studies in U. of M. We all notice, somewhat, that times are easing up a little, it beiDg easier to get cash now, than some months ago. B. duff, jr., soon leaves Ann Arbor for a tour farther east, inspecting schools, etc. We send kindest wishes to our fellow fel-low Btudents in Proyo, and friends no matter where they are. More bve-the-bye. M. E". B. |
