Show THE FIRE BOYS. The Enterprise Band Joins the Department De-partment and Becomes Known as the Firemen's Band. On Monday night a special meeting of the Provo Volunteer Fire Department Depart-ment was held in the Courthouse. Chief John A. Brown presided, and stated that the object of the meeting was to enrol new members. Wm. Elliot, El-liot, Jerry Cluffand Leo Ilalliday were admitted on motion of Mr. Kershaw. Ker-shaw. The chief then stated that the Enterprise band had been invited to associate itself with the brigade, which they hail consented to do. The members of the band were then admitted. ad-mitted. Their names are as follows: James II. Wallis, John W. McAdam, Peter Groneman, Thomas W. Jones, Oscar W. Flygare. John K. Allen, James II iekman, Martin Carlson, .Ro land W. Brown, Thomas Clayton, George Groneman, Owen Johnson and Sam Jones. This swells the total membership of the department to nearly forty members, so that it is no. v in better condition than ever." The subject of getting up a series of j dances wa-. then considered, and on motion the old committee was released and following gentlemen.' appointed j to get up the parties: James II. Wallis ! This committee held a meeting immediately after the other meeting I adjourned, and decided to gne a Fire- j man's Ball in Cox's Hall on Tucbdii j evening next. Tickets will be seven- j ty-five cents each, and members of the ! department will be expected to pay j the same as others, ;;s the membership is large enough now to till a hail.
