Show The West Co-op. has moved their dry goods department into the commodious com-modious store adjoining ii on the w ist, which has been elegantly fitted up for the purpose. The Sun Foundry Company have decided to do without a book-Keeper, as they consider the office tovk not sufficient to warrant the keeping i-l a man to attend lo it. Last Saturday Wm. Cail and see children's ready made suits, cheap. Mr. W. D. Alexander is erecting a nice nine-room residence in the First Ward. The building will be frame, with building paper and fancy rustic siding, and will be one of the finest residences in Proyo when completed. It will have all the modern improve ment!, such as hot and cold water service, ser-vice, bath room, etc., and will be heated throughout with hot air. The structure will cost $2,500. The shelving and counter work put into the Cox building (tht new quarters f the West Co-op) by the Provo L. M. & B. Co., reflects much credit on the company's foreman, Mr. Ledru Loveridge. In addition to this work, a neat office, with enamaled -glass front, has been built in the ortheast corner of the room, giving that part of the building build-ing a metropolitan appearance. The Democratic rally in the Opera House on Saturday evening next will be a grand affair. Springville and Payson are going to send a delegation 150 strong, headed by their bands, and Americau Fork and Lehi expect to do the earne. The Fireman's band of this city has been engaged for the occasion and will meet the delegations and escort them to the Opera House. The train from the north bearing Judge Judd, Judge Henderson, C. O. Richards, Rich-ards, J. L. Rawlins, S. A. Kenner, II. II. Rolapp and others, will be met by all the bands and a rousing reception tendered them. |
