Show DEMOCRATIC LADIES They Are Organizing a Society ho Organization Or-ganization Will be Completed on Wednesday Evening Next Pursuant to the call published in THE DiSPATcn about forty democratic ladies met at the county courthouse on Saturday evening to consider the advisability ad-visability of organizing a ladies democratic demo-cratic society Modesty but quiet determination marked the proceedings Mrs M L Pratt was chosen chairman chair-man of the meeting aid Miss May Brown secretary It 1 was unanimously agreed to organize such a society for the purpose of propagating the principles prin-ciples of the democratic party and to promote the general welfare of the regular reg-ular organization A brief declaration ot principles was formulated and then and there signed by nearly every one present A committee on membership was appointed ap-pointed consisting of Mrs E A Wilson Wil-son Mrs Sam A King and Mrs A O Smoot Jr A committee on constitution and bylaws by-laws w < s also appointed conisting of Mrs J C White Mrs Newell Miss Mab l Thurman Miss Rose Young and Mrs M L Pratt The meeting adjourned until Wednesday evening tile 26th to allow al-low the committees to report and to enable several other ladies to be present pres-ent who desired to participate but who could not be in attendance Saturday Satur-day evening It was a beautiful gathering and the argument of those fair faces would of iteelf be sufficient to induce most anyone any-one to vote the democratic ticket |
