Show j AN ORDINANCE To Provide for the Graveling Gravel-ing of the Sidewalks in. (jrayeliiis: Districts No. 1, No. 2 aiid No. 3. Sec. 1. Be it Ordained by the City Council of Trovo city, that the chree aidewalK graveling districts dis-tricts beretoloie establiBbed by the City council, known &ss Giaveling Districts No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3, cooae within the purview and meaning of this ordinance, the boundaries of saio. districts being as follows: The sidewalks side-walks on J htreet from First to Fifteenth Fif-teenth etreet, Seventh street Irom A to O Btreet, and E Btreet from First to Twelfth,street, comprise diBtiict No. 1. K, L, hi and 2? streets, from Third to Filteenth street, and all streets running run-ning east from J to N etreet comprise district No. 2. All BtreetB running north and south between J and B streets, and all streets running east and west from First to Twelfth, both inclusive except Seventh etreet, comprise com-prise uistriet No. 3. tiC. 2. A tax, not to exceed Six Thousand .Dollars, ib hereby levied on tue real estate lying and bemg within thb limits of said sidewalk graveling dietncts, for tho purpose of graveling with mountain gravel and otherwise repairing the eidewalks in the aboye uauied districts. Sec. 3. The assessment for graveling gravel-ing purposes snail be according to the front rod, or iractiou thereof abutting upon the sidewalk to be improved, and the amouut of assessment shall be calculated cal-culated on each rod of sidewalk according ac-cording to the estimated need thereof, Provided; that the aggregate tax shall be within the limit herein named. Sec. 4. The City Recorder or' his deputy ehall list and assess the property pro-perty according to the provisions of this ordinance, stating the name of tho owner, or it uuknown there so seating, and siviug the number of lit anu bl ck, and name of plat and number num-ber ot lods, or fraction thereof, of4each lot and piece of ground fronting the sidewalks, and the amount of tax leyied H thereon. H Stc. 5. -After the list is made up H and the aBiesament approved by the H Oily Council, notice shall be given in H some newspaper ot the completion ol H said list, for not less than five conse-H conse-H cutive. days, and from the date of H the first, publication of said H notice, and during the time specified H therein the said llfit Bhall be open to H public inspection, and any person or H persons feeling themselves acgrieved B bhallhaye a hearing betore the said H Council. Notice shall be giyen of the H time when the City Council shall sit to H hear grievances and complaints of H errors in assessment. K Sec. 6. Tue Supervisor of Streets is H hereby constituted the collector of the K tax assessed by this ordinance. Upon K receipt.by him of the corrected tax list H he sna'll furnish to each property H tax-payer owning real estate within H the said sidewalk graveling district, B or leave at hiB residence or usual place H of babiness, or mailed to his address, if H known, a notice of the tax aesesEed H against him, and when end where pay- K able, and when delinquent, and what B portion thereof may be paid in gravel, m and when the said tax is due he shall B proceed to collect the assessment and B to enforce the payment of Buch por- B tioii thereof as may become delinquent B m the manner provided by the laws of B the Teintory, and the oidinancis of B Pioyo City fur the collection of city B general tax.
