Show PULLMANS GARS Are Boycotted and Railroad Employes Refuse to COUPLE THEM ON TRAINS Governor West at Washington Ho Urges That Utah Democrats be Put in Office Arrangements Are all Completed for Cornets Funeral PUEBLO Cola June 27Pueblos two lodges of the American Railway union in session tonight voted to carryout carry-out the boycott on Pullman sleepers and make it apply to all roads entering here the Denver Rio Grande Santa Fe Rock Island Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific Denver Gulf When Santa Fe train No6 from Denver Den-ver from the east pulled into the Union depot at 1115 some fifty switchmen switch-men were on hand and uncoupled the sleepers from the rest of the train The same thing was done to the sleepers sleep-ers on Santa Fe No 7 from La Junta and the east which rolled into the depot de-pot a few minutes Jater On this train were the sleepers which were held at La Junta all day The train due here this morning from the I east and Rio Grande No 3 from Denver Den-ver for the west received the same reception re-ception at the depot All employes refuse re-fuse to recouple the sleepers and the trains will be held here say tbe railroad rail-road authorities until the sleepers po as usual All other trains coming in tonight will be uncoupled The sheriff was appealed to but had not enough men to watch the unionists union-ists and prevent them cutting off the Pullmans I The Santa Fe will apply to the United States marshal The Rio Grande and other roads will probablY take the same course on the ground of interference interfer-ence with the mails GOY WEST AT WORK WASHINGTON June 27 Governor West since arriving here has visited many high Government officials in regard re-gard to Utah matters He has urged the necessity of making changes innumerous in-numerous offices in the territorywhich he thinks the democrats ought to have and hopes his labors will bring forth fruit very soon CAEKOTS FUNERAL PARIS June 271t has been arranged ar-ranged that the funeral procession which will escort the remains of the late President Carnot to the Pantheon is to leave the Elys > e palace at 8 oclock this morning It will proceed through > the Champ Elyaee to the Place de la Concorde and through Hue Rivoll reaching Notre Dame at about noon After the funeral services at the cathedral the procession will go to the Pantheon by the Pont Neuf and the Boulevarde St Michael |
