Show THE GEORGE W. CHILDS TOMB. A. Mausoleum of Granite and Bronzo to Ii Erected In n Philadelphia Cemetery. , Friends here of Mrs. Goorgo W. Childs, who sinco tho death of her distinguished dis-tinguished husband has been living i chiefly in "Washington, learned yestordaj i that she had given directions for the erection of a magnificent mausoleum in Central Laurel Hill cemetery and that i the body of the late Mr. Childs will bo placed in it. Mr. Childs' body at present pres-ent lies near that of his friend, tho late 1 Anthony J. Drexel, in the Dresel tomb in Woodlands cemetery. I Tho mansoleum is to bo constructs I of granite of a neat design in tho coloni al stylo of architecture. Granite and bronze aro tho only materials to bo used in tho construction, and tho mausoleum Is to havo no brick lining or lining of other material Tho tomb is to bo located lo-cated along tho terrace in tho cemetery ' close to tho Nicotown lane entrance aud ' opposite the cottage of tho superintendent superintend-ent of tho cemetery. The doors of tho tomb aro now being sast. They are of solid bronzo 7 feet high and 8 feet 8 inches wide.- They will bo surmounted with a handsomely finished molded cornice. An oblong grille of finely carved scroll work design de-sign will ' ornament each door. The mausoleum will be piercod with a bronzed window fitted in with a circular circu-lar grille 2 foot in diameter, in front of the figured cathedral glass. Tho grille is richly carved. There will be four catacombs in the mausoleum. Ibo bronze plates for them will be handsomely carved and modeled. mod-eled.
