Show theresa sheehan co gave pleasing show miss theresa sheehan and corn com pany appearing at the star theatre last evening under the direction ot of the commercial club and as the third ot of a series of entertain ments sent out by the midland lyceum co gae gane a pleasing aad and interesting performance every I 1 number on the program received liberal applause showing that tin i tic people thoroughly appreciated the readings read of miss sheehan and the musical numbers by the misses peck walter jensen in behalf of the commercial club introduced the oung oun ladies and told of their recent appearance before the salt I 1 ake lodge of elks elk at prices consi considerably higher than those charged I 1 loyally M ss sheehan s readings were good and the young lady has a very pleasing stage appearance and per sodality son sona allty lity the peck sisters sing and play the violin and cello and while their vocal numbers were not out of the ordinary they were never tuneful and pleasing As in they appeared to better advantage all three of the young ladies are pianists it 1 Is hoped that the remaining numbers booked by the commercial club will be as satisfactory as last night s performance 0 max wightman returned from salt lake monday where he visited tor for a few days with his parents mr and mrs william wightman a mr and mrs C E clift of salt lake came out wednesday and ae a e guests at the home of mr and mra A E 1 ipp f mrs hannah mitchell entertain ed twenty tour four little girls saturday evening the party being tor for her daughter mildred who was cele brating rating her thirteenth birthday birth dav thanksgiving decorations were used and excellent refreshments were served the children spent the even ing in dancing and playing games |
