Show commissioners accept valley 0 at a rece recent n t meeting of the corn missioners miss loners of juab county a final settlement was made with D S dorrity who had a contract for placing a gravel surface on the tin tic valley road from silver city to lynndyl lynndal it Is understood that the county has paid out something ilka like 15 tor for surfacing this road anc this added to the original contract for building the grade brings the to tal cost up to about 45 people who have been over the highway during the past few months have expressed dissatisfaction because certain sections have not been surfaced and because the work in a number of places has been done in a poor manner however bounty john bunnell sas that the local road man will un dermake to complete the job this tall fall putting gravel on sections of the road where it Is badly needed to put the highway in shape for wet mr bunnel bunnell and other members of the board were at salt lake re bently tor for a meeting with the depre senta tives of the salt lake route anil and members of the public utilities corn coal mission with reference to changes in the road in the neighborhood of juab at the present time the rot roil I 1 crosses the railroad at two places and the representatives ot of the fed eral oral government who have incesti gated the matter ask that these two crossings be eliminated this will no doubt be necessary it if the county Is to secure the usual federal aid on the project it Is generally under stood that the cost of the change will be divided between the railroad company and juab county about eight miles of the pave ment have been laid on the santa quin project according to mr bunnell the work is progressing in a very rapid manner and it is quite certain that the entire lob job will be completed before the cold er or of the coming tall fall and winter |
