3 C PENNEY CO 0 OPENS BIG BUNCH OF NEW STORES the 3 C penney company are opening fifty nine new stores throughout the country when this has been accomplished the nation wide organization will then have stores in all the present expansion policy of the company contemplates still more stores next year the growth of the company has been remarkable the first store was opened twenty years ago 1902 doing a business of ot 28 11 last year 1921 it had stores and tha the gross volume of sales amounted to 4 46 6 9 28 20 mr J C penney the founder ot of the company ie Is still active in the at af fairs of the organization being chairman of the board of directors
