This award was established to give recognition to those whom continue to show their loyal support to North Summit students year after year. Two recipients were chosen for 2013, they include: Helen Thiriot: Not a stranger to the halls of the school district, she is loved and revered as the cute little kindergarten teacher to countless little NS Braves. Her positive energy and enthusi- asm is hard to match, as she has an immense pride for North Summit and its traditions. The alumni band was never complete without the "Littlest Drummer". She served as the chairperson for the "100 years of Tradition and Brave Spirit Celebration". A huge task but remarkable, at this stage in her life. During this time she displayed extreme courage and determination as she inspired her committee to go above and beyond. She will continue with her strength as she pushes forward, through the closing ceremonies in May. The tribal name chosen for her "AAYASHE", known as "Little One with BIG Heart". RaNae Crittenden: RaNae truly has the Brave spirit and bleeds purple and gold. She was chosen for her service to current and past students of NSHS. She was an original member and founder of the NS Booster Club for many years. Wanting to ensure the graduating seniors a safe place to celebrate their accomplishments, she implemented the NS Project Graduation where she successfully provided her time and talents for twenty plus years. RaNae served as the chairman for the 75 years celebration in 1988 and is currently serving on the 100 Years of Tradition and Brave Spirit Committee. She continues to share her great qualities and talents with many in the community. It is very important to her that the students are supported as she is always making arrangements for others to attend the games and activities. So with that, she was named "SAGUNA NIPA" as "Watches Over Braves". Congratulations and a big "THANK-YOU" to both recipients for their continued support and unwavering loyalties to NSHS! Beaver's only scoring drive was a 57 yard touchdown pass to # 7 Michael Roberts late in the 2nd quarter. Even though South Summit knew to watch Roberts, his athleticism was evident during Beaver's scoring drive. BHS came up short on the PAT to make the score 21-6. Next week is homecoming week for the Wildcats! They will be facing off against the Summit Academy Bears in a region matchup. The Wildcats will be looking to improve to 5-0.
