Show scouts cut wood for distribution to poor 0 alvin wallace the scoutmaster tor for M I 1 A patrol ot of the boy scouts states that the boys have been busy throughout the past week in an et of fort to bring christmas cheer into the homes ot of some of the needy pe pei ale ot of this city the scoutmaster and the boys efured from charitably inclined people eople quite a supply of choice meat which was made into sausage and distributed to some of 0 the widows ot of eureka who thorough I 1 ly appreciated the kindness of 0 the scouts then a few days later thel the scouts arranged with the chief cons people tor for a supply of old wood from eureka hill mine build ings recently torn down and this wood nood vas aas first cut up into kindling size and then distributed to six or eight families other wood which the mine officials have donated will be similarly bandied handled mr wallace states that it tintic gintic sportsmen will arrange to pull oft off a rabbit hunt during the holiday vaca tion he will supply enough scouts to pick up the rabbits and also ar arrange rane to have them properly dressed and distributed to local people who relish this particular kind ot of meat this Is an excellent suggestion and one which will no doubt be carried out perhaps a hunt can be conducts conduct PI 1 soon after the first of the year as rabbits are quite plentiful in the valley and at this season of the ear the jacks should be 11 1 1 excellent shape tor for eating the M I 1 A troop of scouts are to be complimented on the program which they are carrying out during the present holiday season |
