Show Happenings June 29, 2007 The Summit County Bee Mackey — Luke Tanner Mackey and Nichole Luke have chosen Friday, June 29, to be married in the Salt Lake Temple. Tanner is the son of Tom and Nancy Mackey, of Sacramento, CA. Tanner served a mission for The LDS Church in Mexico and is currently attending the University of Utah where his is earning his Doctorate degree in audiology. Nichole Luke is the daughter of Michael and Terri Baldwin, of Francis, and Casey Luke, of West Jordan. She graduated from SSHS in 2005 and from the UVSC nursing program in 2006. She is currently employed as a Registered Nurse at Primary Children’s Medical Center. The couple will reside in Salt Lake City. A reception will be held in their honor that night, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the bride’s residence, 1810 South Oak Lane, Francis. In case of oversight, all family and friends are welcome. They were married June 23. Allen and Dana Vernon are pleased to announce the marriage of their son, Trent, to Colleen Parker, daughter of John and Sharon Parker, of Cleveland, OH, on Saturday, June 30, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They will make their home in Cleveland for the next three years while Trent finishes dental school. In case of oversight, friends and family are invited to attend a reception in their honor that night at the Oakley Town Hall, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Look Who’s New in Pink and Blue Recipe Corner Apple-Rhubarb Crisp A favorite of grandmas all over the nation 2 cups of apples - chopped 2 cups rhubarb - cut up 1 cup sugar 2 tbs. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs Combine apples and rhubarb. Sift sugar, flour and salt together and pour onto the fruit. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold gently into fruit mixture. Place in greased casserole bowl and sprinkle with the crumb topping. Crumb Topping: Sift sugar, flour and spices together. Crumble butter into dry ingredients. Blend until size of pebbles. Add nuts. Sprinkle topping over rhubarb-apple mixture, cover it well. Logan James Judd Treyson David Giles Alex and Misty Judd, of Henefer, are excited to announce the birth of their son, Logan James Judd. He was born on May 20, at 11:19 p.m. He weighted 7 lbs. and 8 ozs. and was 20 inches long. Proud grandparents are Jim and Barbara Brooks, of Henefer, and Randy and Yvonne Judd, of Henefer. Great-grandparents are Veda Brooks, Preston and Lucille Judd and Edwin and Thelma Stevens. Corbyn is so excited to announce the arrival of his little brother, Treyson David Giles. He was born on April 19, weighing 6 lbs. 11 ozs. and was 18 inches long. Mommy and daddy are Josh and Aubrey Giles, of Heber City. Tayden Adam Patch Adama and Regi Patch would like to announce the birth of their son, Tayden Adam Patch. Tayden was born May 9 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. He weighed 7 lbs. and was 19 inches long. This grandparents are Randy and Becky Ovard, Lisa and Tim Patch, and great grandparents are Kathleen Ovard, Grant and Marna Patch and Graham and MaryLou Doxey.
