Get those items into the right recycle bins. If you mention going to Park City to your North Summit Elementary students you will probably see them running about your home gathering items such as aluminum cans, cardboard, glass and even plastic containers to take along with them. The students gained a new appreciation for our planet earth and the gifts of air, water and food provided to each of us as inhabitants. They spent an enjoyable, informative 30 minutes doing fun activities with knowledgeable instructors, Greta Andreini and Lola Beatlebrox, from the Recycle Utah Organization, located at 1951 Woodbineway in Park City, just behind Anderson Lumber Company. Their message for all of us concerned: Reduce: We conserve Natural Resources and protect the environment, when we use less electricity, water, gasoline or any other resources. Reuse: It's more productive to reuse than to throw away. Our landfills will be available to us longer if we reuse as many items as possible. Recycle: Our environment is improved when we recycle. Aluminum, glass, paper, as well as plastic, can be made into other items. We, at N.S. Elementary, encourage everyone to follow the great example of our students by joining them in recycling.
