NOTICE OF CERTIFICATION ANNEXATION PETITION FOR PARK CITY MUNICIPAL RECREATION COMPLEX AND NATIONAL ABILITY CENTER (NAC) On August 11, 2004 the NAC and Park City Municipal Corporation filed a petition proposing to annex into Park City an area located in the Quinn's Junction area, east of Fairway Hills Phase Two, and west of SR 248, approximately 1/8 mile south of the SR 248 & 1-40 interchange. The property is approximately 136 acres, and consists of City-owned open space .(approx. 39.5 acres of a 119 acre parcel, tax identification # SS-97-A-1), the NAC parcel (SS-97-B, approx 26.2 acres), and an approximately 70.5 acre City-owned parcel deeded to PCMC by Florence Gillmor for recreational uses (SS-91-B-X and SS-97X). The City intends to develop a recreation complex on the 70-acre parcel adjacent to SR 248. On August 26, 2004 the Park City Council accepted the annexation petition. The Park City Recorder, with the assistance of the Park City Attorney, reviewed the petition against the statutory requirements at Utah Code Annotated Sections 10-2-403(2), (3), and (4), and determined that the petition meets all such requirements. The City Recorder therefore certified the annexation petition on September 2, 20(M. The City Council of Pnrk City received notice of certification on.September 2,2004. The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Park City Recorder located on the'Third Floor of the City Mall building, 445 Marsac Avenue, Park City, Utah. Park City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless (1) a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Summit County Boundary Commission, c/o Summit County Clerk at 6o North Main Street, Posl Office Box 128, Coalville, Utah 84017; and (2) a copy of the protest is delivered to the Park City Recorder at 445 Marsac Avenue, Post Office Box 1480, Park City, Utah 84060 on or before Monday, October 4, 2004. "Mitch" Mitchell KAMAS: Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Wendell D. "Mitch" Mitchell, passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 12, 1927. in Ilayden, UT, the son of Dennis J. and Margaret Atkinson Mitchell. Married Polly Johnson April 29, 1950, later solemnized in the Sail Lake LDS Temple. Together they had five daughters. Mitch served his country during WWII. Reading was a favorite pastime and he enjoyed a variety of types of books, especially history. He suffered from arthritis most of his life, but that did not slop him from doing the things he loved. He enjoyed working with his hands, woodworking, stone and other materials. He loved the outdoors. He even went out and got his last load of firewood for Polly before returning to his Father in Heaven. Words cannot express how great of a person he was. He will be missed and loved by all who knew him. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Polly; five daughters: Connie Marie (Charlie) Riggs, Las Vegas. NV; Linda (Steve) Jones. Kamas; Nadine (Tim) Muyoh, Kamas: Louise (Adam) McBroom, Heber City; Wendy Mitchell. Kamas; brother, Elmer (Marella) Mitchell, St. George; sister, Edna Crapo. Oregon; 12 grandchildren and II great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by both parents, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 7, in the Kamas First Ward, 100 West Center Street, Kamas. Interment was in the Francis Cemetery.
