Prize Winning Recipes Going To The State Fair Senior Citizens Peanut Butter Bars 1/2 cup shortening 1/2 cup peanut butler 1/2 cup while sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg Mix above ingredients thoroughly. Then Add: 1/4 cup water, 1/4 teaspoon sail, 1-1/4 cup flour, 3/4 tsp. soda. 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 6 oz. package chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Banana Bread by Katelynn Judd 1/2 cup margarine 1 c. white sugar 2 eggs 1 cup mashed bananas 1/4 cup milk 1 tsp. lemon juice 2 cups flour 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. Salt Cream margarine and sugar. Add.eggs and beat well. Add bananas, milk and lemon juice. Sift dry ingredients and add to rest of mixture. Bake in greased loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Makes one loaf. Sunny Lemon Cheesecake Square by Paul Leininger 1 package Pillsbury Plus Lemon cake mix 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened 11 oz. can mandarin orange segments, well drained 2 eggs 2/3 cup coconut Heat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease 12x8 inch baking dish or 9 inch square pan. Reserve I cup of the dry cake mix. In large bowl, combine remaining cake mix and margarine at low speed until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup of mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture in bottom of greased baking dish. In the same bowl, combine reserved 1 cup cake mix, cream cheese, orange segments and eggs at medium speed until well blended. Stir in coconut. Spread over base. Sprinkle with reserved 1 cup crumb mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely. Refrigerate until serving time. Store in Refrigerator. Baking powder 2 tsp. Sugar 1/2 cup cheese Sift dry ingredients together into a bowl. Cut in shortening till coarse crumbs. Add cheese and stir with a fork. Add milk a little at a time. Stir with fork but don't ove£ mix. Knead gently 10-12 strokes. Roll dough out 1/2 inch thick. Dip cutter into flour and cut straight down. Do not twist. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Red Velvet Cake by Hannah Larsen 1-1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup Crisco 2 eggs 2 boxes red food color 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. cocoa 1 tsp. salt 2-1/2 cup flour 1 tsp. baking soda I tsp. vinegar 1 cup buttermilk Mix vinegar and soda. Let stand. Mix paste of half coloring and cocoa. Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs and beat well. Then add coloring, salt and soda which was dissolved in the vinegar. Add remaining ingredients.
