Mr. Jody Allred stated, “This year at every workshop we were told that they needed to raise the standards and eliminate so many superior ratings at state solo ensemble.” Some judicators followed their instructions closely almost totally eliminating the I, superior rating this year while other judicators were extremely fair with their marks. It was difficult to watch some of the music students check their scores only to be disappointed with the result. It was amazing to see music director after music director shaking their heads in disbelief as some of the scores were posted. Even with so many harsh marks from some of the judicators Gunnison Valley High HEAP WEEK of the Kevin Nay This week’s Heap of the Week goes to Kevin Nay.
