Coming out third quarter Cami, Felcia and Morgan all made one basket each for Bulldogs keep it close with the Wasps by MARKHENLINE The Bulldogs traveled to Nephi last Wednesday evening to take on the Juab Wasps. The Bulldogs, behind Kevin Nay's 27 points, kept within reach for the entire contest. During the first quarter Nay went four out of five from the line and put in two more buckets for a total of eight points. Senior Sam Judd added two, Newman had a free throw and Taylor Ashton had a bucket. The first quarter ended with the Bulldogs trailing 15-13. 0 points. As a team the Bulldogs committed 15 turnovers, made 13 buckets, 5 three pointers and went 8 of 13 from the line for 62%. The Bulldogs had their first home game of the year Friday evening against the 3A North Sanpete Hawks. The Hawks took early control of the game and outrunned and outgunned the Bulldogs the entire contest. The Hawks went inside all night long and when that was shut down they went outside finishing the game with ten three-point buckets. The Bulldogs are really showing a lack of fire power as they struggle to put points on the board this year. At the half of this game the Dogs had only managed 15 points to the Hawks 44. The games final score was North Sanpete 80-Gunnison 48. Jeremy Reid showed he's a force inside this game as well finishing with five rebounds and four points. Carson Lund The team went 12 for 23 from the line for 52%. They committed 20 turnovers, while causing nine. The team hit 12 from the field and had four threepointers. With this loss, the Bulldogs fall to 0-6 on the year.
