What a rain storm that passed through Southern Utah on Thursday. We had a good amount of rain but not the amount down around Hanksville where there was damage to homes, businesses and was a frightening time for some students, teachers, bus drivers and parents on the school bus when they were stranded by flood waters. Lucky no one was injured and all were able to return home safely. The family of James "Slim" Bown would like to express appreciation to ail those who helped in any way during the passing of our husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. We want to thank the emergency help from EMT's, firemen and the Gunnison City Police Department as well as all those who sent food, flowers and cards along with the many phone calls and visits to me. Also the American Legion Post #104 and U.S. National Guard for the military rites. We're so grateful for Dr. Inouye and his office staff as well as the Gunnison Hospital staff. •.
