Show I Opinions Page 2 Thursday, August 17, 2006 The Gunnison Valley Gazette What was my big hurry? Some men never grow up Just A Thought By MARK HENLINE For years it seems that I have been in a hurry for my children to grow up. At first I couldn't wait for them to get out of diapers and off of formula. Then I couldn't wait until one of my children was old enough to tend the others. Then what a great day it would be when they all could finally watch themselves. For some reason in my mind I must have thought life would be simpler as the children grew. Well, as it turns out, yesterday was my youngest son, Carson's, ninth birthday. As we were sitting in church he became restless and he me his new trick for getcrawled up on my knee and ting out of the tree. He hung asked if he could go home upside down by a limb with early. The Fairview arena could also suffer from safety factors in the event a mass evacuation of the arena there are no real functional aisles to exit down. Make sure that the floor space inside the arena is large enough to accommodate not only horse events, but other events such as motocross, concerts, and large traveling productions. And do not forget the facilities which conventions would want to have access to and use. The facility should also be available for conventions. This may require the building of two arenas and other additions, if so, consider those and press forward with the plans. You have my support. Sincerely, Ray LaFollette, Mt. Men can be so terrible at times. My neighbor isfixingup an old car for the fair and he makes such a noise late at night that 1 have been tempted to call Stuart and complain. I could understand him doing that if he lived over on the west bench or out by Mardell Jensen, but there's no place for that noise in a nice neighborhood. It makes me wonder why some men never grow up.
