Watson, 87, life long sheep and cattle rancher passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008 in Nephi, with his loving son and grandsons by his side. He was born in Spring City on Jan. 22, 1921 to James Albert Watson and Lola M. Olsen. He received his education in the local schools and attended Snow College for a brief period. He married Cecile Bown on Nov. 6, 1953. Together they raised seven children. He was a loving husband and father and together they worked diligently on the farm tending the animals. One of his greatest loves was horses. Always working with his kids, teaching them how to ride and respect a good horse was his goal in life. Another was respecting all farm animals. He taught that if you cared for the animals they would care for you (and they did) from his dogs, cattle, sheep, down to his chickens and ducks, which he always had around his home. Jack and Cecile worked very hard together side-by-side building a family, and a farm from nothing to one of the largest in the area. Cecile died June 7, 1991. He later married Sara Jense. He is survived by his widow and six of his children, Frank Robertson (Lorna) Taylorsville, Sally Lester (Ron) Conifer, Colo., Rose Gledhill (Bob)West Valley City, Jeff Watson (Laura), Spring Jack B.
