Brandon will speak in the Ephraim 3rd Ward (400 E Center) at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007. He will report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007. Brandon graduated from Manti High School May of 2007, and is an Eagle Scout. A celebration in their honor will be held on Friday, Nov. 9 at the LDS Tabernacle in Manti from 6-8 p.m. Anna is a 2004 graduate of Manti High School and is now in the nursing program at Snow College. Kyle, son of Paul and Carolee Curtis, is a 2002 graduate of Monticello High School. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in the Guadalajara, Mexico Mission. He is now working between semesters planning to return to the Business Management Program at SUU. Elizabeth is the granddaughter of Lorain and Donna Brady from wherever they happen to be at the time and the late Glen and Carol Brady from Rangely, Colo., Don and Ruthie Spaulding, and the late Donald Peel, all from Las Vegas, Nev. The Sanpete Messenger Serving Sanpete County since 1893 The children of Maurine Anderson Christensen cordially invite her friends and family to an open house to celebrate her 80th birthday The open house will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 3-5 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center in Gunnison (38 West Center St.). Maurine was born in Centerfield to Miles and Carla Anderson and attended school in Centerfield and Gunnison. She married Brice J. Christensen on July 30, 1945 and together they had four children, Chad, Craig, Arell and Karla Rae. She has 13 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Brice and Maurine spent most of their married life on the farm in Christianburg. Brice passed away in 2004. Maurine retired from Pacific Trail in Manti after 31 years. Since retirement she has kept busy traveling, quilting, and volunteering at the Senior Citizens Center and the hospital. Bottom line, she is never at home. He was born Sept. 18, 1972 in Mt. Pleasant to Gerry J. Aiken and Susan Barney Aiken. He was raised in Spring City for most of his life. He married Jennifer Filby and they had a daughter. They were later divorced. He met his mate Karen Harris 14 years ago and together they had a son. Garth seemed more of a jack-of-all-trades, but he went to school for auto body and auto repair, which was his real interest. His family was his life and he was most happy when he was with them. Garth is survived by his parents, Susan Aiken of Spring City, Gerry (Barbara) Aiken of Blackfoot, Idaho; children, Jessica Aiken, Salt Lake; Brandon Aiken and Brandie Montaoya of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Savannah; brothers, Jay, Darin and Cory all of Spring City; Mate, Karen Harris of Mt. Pleasant; three neph- Jacob Michie and Elizabeth Brady Bruce and Dona Russell, and Ford Brady, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth (Lilly) Gail Brady, to Jacob Mark Michie, the son of Mick and Caroline Michie. The couple will be sealed for all time and eternity on Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 1:45 p.m. It will be a white wedding, held in the Manti Temple. All who know and love this couple are invited to a reception to be held in their honor from 47 p.m. that evening, at the Moroni Utah Activity Center, 250 North Center, Moroni. Preceded in death by grandparents, Terrance and Chrystal Aiken, Travis and Helen Barney and Brother Brain Aiken. Services were held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 in Spring City.
