Nik likes to play outside with trucks and balls and also likes playing with his brothers and sister. Nik is always a happy baby. Melanie Jenkins, the daughter of Wayne and Kathie Jenkins of Ephraim, and Kurtis Taylor, son of Gordon and Susan Taylor of Aurora, Colo., will be married on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 in the Manti Utah Temple of the LDS Church. The couple will be honored at a garden reception at the Jenkins’ home, 1023 S. 300 East in Ephraim. In the event of inclement weather, the reception will be held at the LDS chapel at 751 S. 100 East in Ephraim. There will also be an open house on Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Taylor residence in Aurora, Colo. Melanie is a graduate of South Sevier High School and Evan’s Hairstyling College in Cedar City. She served in the Sao Paulo Brazil Mission for the LDS Church and is employed at Modify Salon and Maley’s in Orem. Kurtis is a graduate of Overland High School and served in the Milwaukee Wisconsin Mission for the LDS Church. He is attending UVSC, majoring in multi-media communications with and emphasis in computer animation. Melanie is the granddaughter of Corinne Jenkins of Nephi and the late Elwood Jenkins, and the late Boyd and Enid Hatch of Vernal.
