James was born at 11:05 p.m. and weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces. He was welcomed home by his two brothers Jacob (1) and John (5). His proud parents are Dr. Matthew and Christy Oliver of Columbus, GA. James is the grandson of Roger and Shelly Alder of Manti and Nancy and Bob Oliver of Ephraim. He is the great-grandson of Dan and Patsy Wintch and Joyce and the late Lyle Alder of Manti, and Glen and the late Marion Lee of Ephraim and the late Opel and Orlin Oliver of Lindon. Anthony Chase Mounteer Anthony Chase Mounteer was born Dec. 28, 2004, and weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. in Murray, Utah. His parents are Shaun and Andrea Mounteer of Kearns, Utah, and grandparents are Don and LaRee Call of Taylor, AZ, Bud Mounteer of Phoenix, AZ, and Jacque Marsh of Manti. Gunnison Valley Hospital On Dec. 20, 2004 a boy was born to John and Natalie Peterson of Gunnison. He weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and will be named Isaac Ardean Peterson. On Dec. 21, 2004 twins were born to Robert and Alishia Broce of Koosharem. Kenneth Hintze Broce weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces. Kylie June Broce weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce. On Dec. 23, 2004 a girl was born to Cody and Merinda Crane of Manti. She weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces and will be named Jaydan Marie Crane. On Jan. 4, 2005, a boy was born to Mike and Heather Welch of Koosharem, Utah. He weighed 6 lbs. 11 oz. BIRTHDAYS First-Kalex Adam Braithwaite Kalex Adam Braithwaite, the son of Thomas and Amanda Braithwaite of Ephraim, will celebrate his first birthday on Jan. 5, 2005. His grandparents are Richard and Karen Hansen of Spring City and Alan and Cecelia (Cece) Braithwaite of Manti greatgrandparents are Earl and Dorothy Nielsen of Moroni, Joy Jensen of Ephraim, and Dortha Braithwaite of Manti. Kalex Braithwaite WEDDINGS Farewell Joshua Hales Niarobi, Kenya Africa Mission Joshua Newell Hales has been called to the Niarobi, Kenya, Africa Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. He will speak in the Salina Fourth Ward sacrament meeting on Jan. 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. before reporting to the Missionary Training Center in Provo on Jan. 19, 2005. Joshua is a 2004 graduate of North Sevier High School where he was active in football, wrestling, drama, and band. He was also a member of the ‘One Voice’ Cooney-Seely Joshua Hales choir for three years. Josh is the son of Newell and Tammy Hales of Salina. Homecoming Justin Alder Canada, Toronto East Mission Justin Dan Alder, son of Roger and Shelley Alder of Manti, has returned home from serving in the Canada, Toronto East Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Justin will speak in the Manti Tabernacle at 11 a.m. on Jan 9. Justin is the grandson of Dan and Patsy Wintch and Joyce and the late Lyle Alder of Manti. Robert Seely and Elisa Lynn Cooney Kevin and Cheryl Cooney of Bellevue, WA are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Elisa Lynn to Robert T. Seely son of Terrel and Glenda Seely of Mt. Pleasant on Sat. Jan. 8, 2005 in the Manti Utah Temple. The bride is a graduate of Bellevue High School and B. Y.U. where she received her bachelor’s degree in English. She is currently working for an Internet Marketing Company. Grandparents of the bride are Loyd and Betty Cooney, David and Dorene Miller, and the late Ronald Crandall of Bellevue, WA. The bridegroom is a gradu- Justin Alder Farewell Kenneth Walker Boise, Idaho Mission First-Bentley Sage Whiteley Bentley Sage Whiteley, the daughter of Kodey and Jaclyn Whiteley of Pleasant Grove, recently celebrated her first birthday. Bentley loves to play with her baby and carry her purse around. She loves to play with her cousins Jasmine, Jentry and Berkley. She also loves to go to her grandparents to visit and explore new things. They never tell her ‘no.’ She’s a busy little bee. Bentley is the granddaughter of Kaylon and Jan Whiteley of Lindon, and Kelly and Maxine Jacobson of Ephraim. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 Beckman-Childs Kenneth Walker, the son of Marcia and Sergio Rico of Centerfield, has accepted a call to serve in the Boise, Idaho Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kenneth graduated from Gunnison High School and has been attending Snow College. Kenneth will speak in sacrament meeting on Sunday, Jan. 9 at 10:30 a.m.and will enter the MTC on Jan. 12.
