Show club will entertain visitors sept Q invitation will be extended to salt lake delta and ely commercial clubs to attend party to be given in eureka at a meeting ot of the officers of the commercial club on wed evening it was decided to hold an entertainment in eureka on september inviting the mem mern bers hers ot of the salt lake delta ely and other commercial bodies for some time thus the local organization has had this matter under consideration and sept seems to be the logical date tor for the gathering since its organization the commercial club has performed a lot ot of good work lending support to every worthy movement and do ing much tor for the advancement ot of the district 1 good roads matters have had first consideration and officers of the club say that this work has just started many good things are be 1 ing planned tor for tintic gintic it is quite probable that another good roads day will be observed during the fall months and an effort made to provide a good all year road into the tintic gintic mining camps As a result of the club s activities this district has received a lot of 0 fa advertising and the enter tain ment on the will cement the bonds of friendship now existing between tintic s boosters and the enterprising business men ot of other cities president craven ot of the commer cial club says that an invitation will wil be extended to senator pittman t f nevada asking him to come to eu reka for this social affair and it is hoped that it will be possible for him to attend As a result of the bill which was introduced by sena tor pittman and which bears his name tintic s silver producing pro are enjoying a measure of prosperity and nothing would please local mining men more than to be able to entertain the senator and show him just how much they ap preci predate ate the work which he Is doing in behalf of the mining industry of the west tintic gintic business men have enjoyed the hospitality ot of delta boosters on more than one occasion and natural ly are now anxious to reciprocate no matter how busy the delta boys are they must knock oft off tor for un an afternoon and an evening and come to eureka they will be given an opportunity of inspecting some of the largest silver mines in the world and in the evening can join in the festivities which are being arranged by the local club salt lake has received great bene fits from the mining camps of utah chief among which Is ev r since the first mine was opened here over fifty years ago there has been a stream of mineral wealth moving toward the state capital some of f the live business men of that sec see tion may come out on sept and tell us to what extent they appreciate the greatest mining district in the west |
