Show Page 6 The Ogden Valley News Volume XXX Issue IV October 1, 2023 Announcements Obituaries Marjorie Ann Amann January 19, 1943 ~ September 5, 2023 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Marjorie Ann Bell Amann, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Marjorie Amann age of 80. She was a light and a gift to everyone she encountered; having a loving, caring smile to greet any who needed to be uplifted. She was born January 19, 1943 to her parents Ben Alvin and Annamary Klein Bell. After graduating from West High School with honors, Margie met the love of her life, Arthur Martin Amann, and they were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They had two sons: Kevin and Kelly Amann and settled in the beautiful mountain valley of Heber, Utah. She was a wonderful, nurturing mother to Kevin and Kelly. Arthur and Marjorie spent sixty wonderful and fulfilling years together. Tamara Reese August 28, 1950 ~ September 15, 2023 Tamara Reese, age 73, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah surrounded by her family after a long battle with Parkinsons disease. Tamara was born Tamara Reese August 28, 1950 in Logan, Utah, the second of six children of Harold Reese and Fern Starks. She was raised in Bloomington, Idaho. After graduating from Bear Lake High School, Tamara continued her education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. In 1971, she married Darell Nielson, and their union was blessed with five children. They were later divorced. During their marriage they had many adventures, including driving to Mazatlán, Mexico and moving to the Bay area in California where they learned how to sail. It was there they began their family with the birth of their first child, Tiffany. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they had their second child, Shane, and then built a home in Liberty, Utah where they grew their family with the births of their next three children, Trevor, Shylo, and Trapper. Following their divorce, Tamara ultimately settled in Cache Valley. Among her many talents and interests, Margie loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking and creating delicious meals for her family. She was also an accomplished painter and artist. She loved to paint mountains and landscapes to fill her home with her masterpieces. She was a beautiful singer; having sung in high school choir and throughout her life in church choirs. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flower gardens. She always kept her home and yard pristine and beautiful. She was preceded by her parents, Ben A. Bell and Annamary Bell and brother-in-law Wilbert Montierth. She is survived by her beloved husband, Arthur Amann; her two sons, Kevin (Grecia) and Kelly (Suzanne); her sisters Jean Montierth, Shirley Hunniwell (Gene), and Carol Jones (Jake); her brothers David Bell (Brenda) and Scott Bell (Cheryl); and her grandchildren, Kami, Braden (Marie), Rachael, Spencer, Jeffrey, and Katilyn Amann. Marjorie was also expecting her first great-granddaughter. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Heber City, Utah. Joan Blevins Corry November 11, 1954 — September 17, 2023 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Joan Blevins Corry, 68, of West Bountiful, Utah, unexpectedly passed away on the evening of September 17, Joan Curry 2023 following a brain aneurysm. She was surrounded by her loving husband and children as she slipped away peacefully. Joan was born on Veterans Day, November 11, 1954, (a birthday she shares with her granddaughter), to Merle and Eugene Blevins of Farmington, Utah. Joan attended and graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah, and went on to college at Weber State University to start her long career in human resources as a payroll coordinator. She later went on to start her family, her greatest achievement. She had four children: Brandon (Nonnie) Orton of Eden, Utah; Bindy (Eric) Flores of Clinton, Utah; Bobby Gideon of Layton, Utah; and Nate (Mikayla) Lower Tamara found great enjoyment in crocheting, of Las Vegas, Nevada. She also enjoyed cooking, with a knack of making great meals out of whatever was lying around the house or following her tried and true recipes for amazing dishes that her family loved. She was an avid University of Utah football fan. You could find her at every home game, or watching at home when the team was away. She never missed a game. Go Utes! Joan was preceded in death by her mother, father, and son Bobby, whom she has missed very much for the last twelve years. She is survived by her loving husband, Don Corry; her children; and her 12 grandchildren: Kayla, Cameron, Gage, Gabriel, Daunavon, Takomah, Henry, Lola, Hank, Gigi, Ellie, and Emma; and two great-grandchildren, Khyce and Behkam. She also leaves behind three fur babies that she loved dearly, Ozzy, Cooper, and Maisy. A small celebration of her life was held for family and friends at her and her husband’s home on September 23, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 1190 Jessis Meadow Way, West Bountiful, Utah. Originally, we were looking into machines that produced and bagged the ice.” Sorensen soon realized that with Ogden Valley’s extreme winter temperatures, an ice producing machine would need to be shut down and winterized much of the year.
