Two of the bigger items are excursions to Las Vegas and New York. The first is a weeklong trip to Las Vegas, where up to eight people will stay at a four-bedroom house in the Lake Las Vegas neighborhood, Mitchell said. “The stay includes golf for four at Reflection Bay Golf Club, a pool and an interactive dinner at the house prepared by award-winning celebrity chef Scott Cummings, 12th-season winner of Gordon Ramsey’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen,’” she said. “Chef Scott will actually come to the house to prepare and cook the dinner.” The second trip is a VIP tour of The Armory Show in New York, from Sept. 9-12, 2021, with Kimball Art Center Executive Director Aldy Milliken. The Armory Show, which has been described by critics as a “galvanizing force in the art world and essential to New York’s cultural landscape,” was founded in 1994 by four New York art dealers in support of the artists they represent, Mitchell said.” “VIP access will allow winners to skip lines and get special treatment throughout this premiere art fair,” she said. “And they will be able to spend time with and get to know Aldy, who knows the show’s organizers and directors, and has extensive experience with it.” The Armory Show package includes two round-trip plane tickets from JetBlue and ac- T c d TANZI PROPST/PARK RECORD Artwork isn’t the only thing the public can bid on during the Kimball Art Center’s virtual auction. All auction items, including the gift certificates, can be viewed in person from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the Kimball Art Center, 1401 Kearns Blvd., Mitchell said. Due to COVID, we are limiting the number of guests in the gallery at once, and we would ask people to wear masks, she said. “People can stop by the Kimball and browse through the items as if they were attending a gala event fundraiser,” Mitchell said. “People can also use that time to use their phones to bid then and there if they want.” The money raised through the auction will support the Kimball Art Center’s programming that gives the community year-round access to locally, nationally and internationally renowned artists through free Weather SATURDAY SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY A little morning snow; storm total 2-4” A morning shower, then a flurry Milder with partial sunshine Mostly sunny Times of clouds and sun Winds: W 7-14 mph Winds: SSW 6-12 mph Winds: S 4-8 mph Winds: S 4-8 mph Winds: SSW 4-8 mph 30°/20° 39°/28° 45°/29° 49°/36° 47°/34° Temperatures: High for the week ................................ 62° Low for the week ................................. 15° Precipitation: Total for the week .............................. 1.22” ACCUWEATHER UV INDEX TM Ogden 42/32 Elko 40/31 Salt Lake City 42/31 SUN AND MOON Sunrise 7:12 a.m. ......... 7:13 a.m. ......... 7:14 a.m. ......... 7:15 a.m. ......... 7:16 a.m. ......... The Young Artists’ Academy is a weekly program for teens aged 13 to 17 who are serious about art, and the EVA program is essentially a visual-art program the Kimball Art Center takes to Park City’s elementary schools, she said. “Our mission is to connect people with art, and through these programs and more, we are able to do that,” she said. “We hope people will participate in the auction so we can continue to offer these programs to our community.” Saturday, Nov. 14 REGIONAL FORECAST FIVE DAY FORECAST FOR PARK CITY ALMANAC Park City statistics for the week ending Nov. 12 City Aspen Boulder Butte Colorado Springs Elko Ely Evanston Flagstaff Gallup Grand Canyon Grand Junction Gunnison Idaho Falls Jackson Hole Mesquite Missoula Ogden Page Pocatello Provo Pueblo Reno Rexburg St. George Salt Lake City Spokane Sun Valley Tahoe Twin Falls Yellowstone Saturday Hi Lo W 31 12 sn 46 31 pc 31 17 c 49 24 s 40 31 c 39 19 pc 24 18 c 52 23 s 53 20 s 52 18 s 44 26 pc 33 10 sn 32 26 pc 28 23 sf 65 36 s 38 26 sf 42 32 pc 59 36 pc 35 30 pc 41 28 c 58 20 s 53 35 c 34 28 pc 60 36 s 42 31 c 40 33 pc 33 22 pc 48 25 pc 40 31 pc 21 14 sn Sunday Hi Lo W 43 22 s 57 41 s 41 24 c 57 35 s 51 30 pc 49 21 s 35 31 pc 60 26 s 60 23 s 58 23 s 49 29 s 43 15 s 39 33 sn 36 31 sn 67 44 s 40 34 sn 48 38 pc 57 39 s 42 36 sh 48 29 s 61 32 s 62 32 s 40 33 sn 64 39 s 49 38 c 45 36 c 39 28 sn 53 24 s 44 39 r 28 23 sn Interstate 80: Snow Saturday will come down hard enough to cause travel disruptions, and it will also be fairly windy.
