PARK CITY SOCCER CLUB REGISTRATION IS OPEN Registration is open for Park City Soccer Club’s Fall Futures Program for children between the ages of 5 and 8 years old. Led by professional coaches, the goal of PCSC’s youth development program is to teach the game of soccer in a fun environment, facilitate a love for the game and promote the development of basic skills. Players may sign up for either a 12-week Wednesday program, which begins Sept. 9, or an 8-week Friday session that begins Oct. 2. Sessions are held at Willow Creek Park until mid-October when they move indoors to the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse. ANNUAL TOUR DES SUDS REGISTRATION IS OPEN The 36th annual Tour des Suds, a virtual mountain-bike race fundraiser for Mountain Trails Foundation, will run from Sept. 1-30. Registration is now open. Sundance Institute’s outdoor summer film series will take on a new form this year due to COVID-19. Instead of hosting free screenings in City Park and select indoor venues in Summit County, Sundance will partner with Park City Film and Utah Olympic Park for a Community Twilight DriveIn experience on Sunday, Aug. 30, and a locals-only online screening on Aug. 31. The first drive-in film is Matt Yoka’s documentary “Whirlybird,” not rated, which will start at 7 p.m. on Sunday at Utah Olympic Park. The second will be David Wain’s 2001 Sundance Film Festival comedy, “Wet Hot American Summer” that will start showing at 9 p.m. The locals only online screening is Adam Rehmeier’s feature comedy drama “Dinner In America,” scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The “Dinner in America” screening will be followed by a Q and A with the director and cast, moderated by Sundance programmer Harry Vaughn.
