For information, visit pcmusicfestival.com. TEEN AUTHOR TALK Park City Library will present a virtual teen author talk from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The free panel will feature Kimberly Jones and Gill Segal, co-authors of “I’m Not Dying With You Tonight.” Registration is required. GUIDED NATURE HIKES ON THE SWANER PRESERVE Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter hosts guided nature hikes between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Wednesdays through Saturdays. The cost is $15 per person, $7.50 for Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter members and free for children ages 5 and younger. This year’s tour groups will be required to follow COVID-19 social distancing protocols. PARK CITY FARMERS MARKET Park City Farmers Market opens at 11 a.m. for senior citizens and at noon for the general public every Wednesday at the Silver King parking lot at Park City Mountain Resort. Admission is free. Since 2002 the Park City Farmers Market has offered organic and non-GMO produce, meats and cheeses. This season’s market will follow COVID-19 social-distancing protocols to ensure the safety of attendees and vendors. For information, visit parkcityfarmersmarket.com. FOREST HEALTH AND FUELS REDUCTION PROJECT PUBLIC PRESENTATION The public can join Basin Recreation for a virtual public meeting regarding plans for a multi-year forest health and fuels reduction project in the Summit Park area. The meeting will run from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, via Zoom, and the session will include a presentation and live Q and A. The project aims to improve forest health, protect watershed resilience, and mitigate hazardous fuels. Friends of the Farm, an organization that manages the historical site, will host guided tours at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, and Friday, Sept. 25. Tickets, which must be purchased in advance, are $5, and proceeds will benefit programs and displays hosted and maintained by Friends of the Farm. Park City history, said manager Minda Stockdale. “We go through three historical periods — homestead, improvement era and post-war into modern day,” Stockdale said. “We talk about the different families who lived at the farm starting with the McPolins, who bought the property and raised beef and hogs, to the Osguthorpes who turned it into a dairy farm.
