Visits to our food pantry have more than doubled. Since mid-March our pantries have served over 800 households, representing over 3,500 individuals. 300 of these families received food for the first time. Our pantry is able to meet the increased demands for groceries and personal care items thanks to generous donations from resorts, restaurants, local individuals, and financial gifts. Basic Needs Assistance requests have poured in and so has funding to meet these needs. People from all walks of life in Summit and Wasatch counties are facing financial hardships as a result of the global pandemic. Basic Needs Assistance exists to provide relief through help with rent, utilities, and other financial burdens.
