The free event ties into the museum’s “A World Transformed: The Transcontinental Railroad and Utah” exhibit that is showing through March 15. For information, visit parkcityhistory.org. AUTHOR EVENT AT THE PARK CITY LIBRARY: LIBBY LUDLOW Libby Ludlow, author of the children’s book “A-B-Skis,” will read and sign copies of her book from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave. The free event will include hot chocolate and treats. This year’s Red, White and Snow will feature 32 vintners and 26 chefs from around the country who will come together to raise money for the nonprofit. ‘LAST FRIDAY’ GALLERY STROLL Park City Gallery Association will host its monthly Last Friday Gallery Stroll from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28. The annual event, which will run from March 4-7 in various venues around town, will feature wine and dine options, a gala, live and silent auctions and vintner dinners designed to raise money for the nonprofit’s sport, recreation and educational programs for people of all abilities, said Clay Mauritson, owner and winemaker of Mauritson Winery, which is one of the 32 vintners that will participate National Ability Center’s Red White and Snow When: March 4-7 Where: Various venues in Park City Web: redwhiteandsnow.org Please see Fundraiser, C-2 New Art Lounge expands Gallery MAR’s reach Space is providing a venue for various art and community events PARK CITY FILM: ‘LES MISERABLES’ SCOTT IWASAKI The Park Record Park City Film will present Ladj Ly’s “Les Miserables,” rated R, from Friday, Feb. 28, to Sunday, March 1, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. Friday and Saturday screenings will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday’s screening starts at 6 p.m. This updated 2019 adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel, “Les Miserables,” is inspired by the 2005 riots in Paris and follows a cop from the provinces who moves to Paris to join the Anti-Crime Brigade of Montfermeil. While there, he discovers an underworld and tension between two gangs. Tickets are $8 for general admission and $7 for senior citizens. For information, visit parkcityfilm.org. Gallery MAR is expanding not only its space, but its reach into the community.
