Public notice is hereby given that the Summit County Board of Health (“Board”) in accordance with UCA §26A-1-121, will conduct a public hearing to discuss and possibly take action regarding Population and Density Cap for the number of Tobacco Retail Permits issued by the Summit County Health Department. The Summit County Health Department finds the research surrounding youth accessibility to tobacco prod- ucts, including the density of tobacco retailers, is compelling and that restricting access can have a positive influence on preventing youth tobacco use. Proposed changes to the Summit County Code of Health, Title 1, Chapter 9, to add Section 1-9-7, Population and Density Cap. The Board seeks comment by members of the public on its proposed changes to the Summit County Code of Health.
