Park City Film Drive In: ‘Storm Boy’ Park City Film will host a drive-in movie, Shawn Seet’s “Storm Boy,” rated PG, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Lot K, 1920 Prospector Ave. in Prospector Square. Lot K will open at 7 p.m., and live music will be provided by Snyderville Station. The film will start at dusk. Spaces for cars are limited to 35 and tickets range from $20 to $30 per car. Tickets for walk-ups and bike-ups are also available for $9. Patrons can bring blankets and low back chairs for seating on a grassy area in front of the screen. No dogs will be allowed at the screening. No passes will be accepted. “Storm Boy” is about Michael Kingley, a successful retired businessman and a grandfather, played by Geoffrey Rush. When Kingley starts to see images from his past that he can’t explain, he recounts to his granddaughter the story of how, as a boy, he rescued and raised an extraordinary orphaned pelican, Mr. Percival. Recycle Utah’s 100 Mile Meal Recycle Utah’s 100 Mile Meal, a dinner party featuring dishes made from produce and proteins grown and raised within 100 miles of Park City, will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at a private ranch in Oakley. Park City Beethoven Festival Park City Beethoven Festival will perform works by Stamitz, Milhaud and Brahms at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Park City Community Church, 4501 N. S.R. 224. Deer Valley Music Festival: The Indigo Girls The Utah Symphony’s Deer Valley Music Festival will conclude this summer’s season with Grammy-winning folk duo, The Indigo Girls, conducted by Conner Gray Covington, at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater. The duo, composed of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, is known for the songs “Closer to Fine,” “Prince of Darkness” and “Galileo.” Ticket prices start at 40. Cohn, who is known for his hit “Walking in Memphis,” collaborated with the pioneering gospel group Blind Boys of Alabama for the past two years. CONNECT also hosts at support group for parents and guardians of school-age youth from 4-5 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Parley’s Park Elementary School Counseling Center, 4600 Silver Springs Drive. This group covers topics relevant to all people struggling with any type of disordered eating. Some topics include, but are not limited to; intuitive eating, body image, emotional eating, triggers and coping skills, mindfulness, and self esteem.
