Show A5 The Emery County Review, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 VOICES Celebrating the People and Lifestyle of the San Rafael Swell Area Anniversary Wedding Recognition Dorr and Elizabeth Hanson Dorr Williams Hanson and Mary Elizabeth Mathis were married 70 years ago on Dec. 19, 1938, in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of eight children and have 51 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. As longtime residents of Huntington, Utah, for 43 years, Dorr and Elizabeth have distinguished themselves through years of devoted service to family, church, community, and twice received the recognition of “Outstanding Citizens” by Heritage Days and Emery County. An open house in their honor will be hosted by their children on Dec. 21, at the residence of Dorr and Elizabeth, 389 North 1st East, in Huntington, from 4 - 6 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring this beloved couple. Jessica Bass Kenny Kel Baker Scott and Krista Bass are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Jessica Bass to Kenny Kel Baker, the son of Robert and Ileen Baker on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008. Reception will be held on Dec.19, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Farmington LDS Chapel at 272 North Main Street in Farmington. A reception will also be held Dec. 20, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Emery LDS Chapel at 7th North Center Street in Emery. He received meritorious promotion to Private First Class. Only 36 out of 515 new Marines in Mike Company were given this promotion. Welcome home Marine! They discussed what makes you “You.” They were told that you are more than just your looks, your likes and dislikes. You are also what you believe and what you value. Your character is made up of these things: your sense of what is right and wrong, and what is important to you. Your values and what matters most to you help you decide how to act. Your family, friends, faith and experiences help you decide what your values are. They were then asked: “Do you know what is most important to you?” The program was both fun and educational for the girls and the Girl Scout representatives said the students were very responsive to what was being taught.
