The entire stock of goods as well as the building went up In flames. The store was operated by W. E. Mclntlre, who owned tbe place In partnership with his brother; E. W. Mclntlre, and Fraim Bryner. Their losa was about $6X100, with insurance amounting io $3,760. The building wu the property of the Heffernan-Thompstn company of Eureka and whi pqetty well covered by Insurance. Mr. Mclntlre Was away from Silver City at the time of the fire. He went to Delta that day for, the purpose of haying hay. The fire alarm waa given at about 8.40 In the evening and at that time the lower part of the building waa so thoroughly enveloped In flamea that it waa Impossible to save any of the stock. The upstairs was unoccupied. The fire spread rapidly and within a remarkably abort time the frame building and its contents were consumed. The owners of the store have made no plans for reopening.
